Classic Burger Sauce

Classic Burger Sauce

This Classic Burger Sauce could not be any easier to make. In my opinion a burger sauce is a must to take any burger from good to mouth-watering! Slather it on a juicy burger patty, top it off with your favorite veggies and cheese, and prepare to be amazed.

Try it on your fries, your chicken sandwich, or even your bratwurst – don’t worry, we won’t judge you if you do. This sauce is so good, you’ll want to put it on everything. So go ahead and spread, dip, and drizzle to your heart’s content – life is too short for bland burgers.

Choosing your Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise – This creamy base helps to give the sauce it smooth texture.
  • Ketchup – Tomato ketchup provides a sweet, tangy flavor.
  • Mustard – Yellow or dijon must can be used. Yellow mustard will add a little vinegar kick while Djon add more complex flavors.
  • Pickle Juice – My favorite is dill. You can also add diced pickle if you want to add a little more texture. Pickle relish can work great too.
  • Paprika – Paprika can add a little smokiness to the sauce.
  • Garlic Powder – Garlic powder adds a bit of savory flavor.
  • Onion Powder – Onion powder gives the sauce a subtle onion flavor.
  • Chipotle Powder – This can be optional but I like the extra smokey flavor it adds along with the spicy kick.

All of these ingredients can be adjusted to taste, and additional spices or flavorings can be added. For example, BBQ sauce, Horseradish, Siracha or Hot Sauce might be your jam. Experiment a little and you can have your own signature burger sauce to wow you guests at the next backyard barbecue!
